BARON, a choral choice for the new Ama Rome tender
The companies awarded the new Ama Rome contract confirmed BARON as the most appreciated technological partner for on-board technology in the waste collection service.
In March 2023, the municipalities I, II, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, IX and X of Rome Capital were allocated the collection service for the so-called Und, the non-domestic users.
The new open tender, divided into fifteen lots, is valid for 36 months.
A large part of the resources have been earmarked for the area that, more than others, represents the city’s showcase: Rome City Hall I. The winning bidder of this important municipality chose to equip its fleet with the full BARON package consisting of under-body weighing and RFID identification on-board systems, on-board satellite and data management service for the entire fleet, equipping a total of over 80 vehicles.
City Hall II, an area known for its nightlife and marked by the presence of restaurants, offices, bars and services, was awarded to the temporary network of companies made up of Del Prete, Cosmari Gestioni Ambientali and Tecnoservizi.
The third Municipality went to the same contractor.
The TGC (Temporary Grouping of Companies) consisting of Sarim srl and Logistica Ambientale srl was awarded the Tiburtino fifth Municipality. Here BARON is a partner with its on-board truck weighing. A single company, Impresa Sangalli Giancarlo & C. S.r.l., finally won the fourth, seventh (Rome’s largest), eighth (EUR), ninth and tenth (Ostia) municipalities.
For all these fleets the choice was unanimous, BARON on-board weighing systems. BARON weighing products are certified, providing the EU Type Certificate according to the European directive NAWID 2014/31/EU, which guarantees their accuracy and quality.
With a total of 350 systems supplied and installed on as many vehicles, Baron is proud to have been chosen by all the companies that won the Ama Rome contract.
During the second quarter of 2023, Baron was able to fulfill a very demanding production job, supplying several hundred systems in the space of just 3 months, destined for the Ama Rome tender and Baron’s other national and international customers. This task was followed by an intense phase of installations, high-standard executed, planned and implemented within the timeframe agreed upon with the clients thanks to the professionalism of the BARON technical team and through the set-up partners that Baron has trained and authorized for the installation of its systems.
